We employ Chartwells, the County caterers, to provide our school dinners. These are cooked on the premises and are of a very high quality. Menus are displayed for your inspection. If your child has an allergy to a specific food we would appreciate a letter to this effect.
School meals cost £11.00 per week (£2.20 per day). The correct amount, for the week, should be sent to school on a Monday in a labelled envelope. Any change or credit will be carried forward. Please note that school meals must be paid for in advance. Forms to apply for free school meals can be obtained from the school office. Children in Foundation Stage 2, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal each day.
At lunchtime children have the option of spending time playing with their friends on the playground, reading a book with a friend in the new flower garden, using one of the laptops in the library, sharing the new playground equipment bought by School Council or having fun on our new adventure play area.
Developing a Love of Reading and ICT in the Library
Over recent years we have opened the library at lunchtime to enable chidren to share a book with a friend, listen to stories or access educuational websites via the school laptops. This new initiative is supervised by a teaching assistant each day and has proven to be very popular amongst the children.
